Set in Kentville, Nova Scotia, with part of the story taking place in Lower Sackville, Pet Project follows eleven-year-old Ada Boudreau, who enters a youth changemaker contest with an idea close to her heart: creating a food bank for pets so families never have to choose between feeding themselves and their beloved animals. But when a new kid starts outshining Ada — and suspicious mishaps begin to pile up — she has to figure out what matters more: winning or helping others?
