Heidi Tattrie Rushton writes for both young readers and adults, creating stories with honest characters, empowering experiences, and moments that linger long after the final page.

For younger readers, her work includes Pet Tales — a middle-grade novel about friendship, anxiety, courage, and social justice (with lots of entertaining pets!) — and is currently shortlisted for the 2025–2026 Hackmatack Children’s Choice Book Award. She has also created the Playground Adventure Guide, an interactive family fun tracker.

Her novels for adults, published under the name Heidi Tattrie, are grounded in character, place, and the choices that shape a life. Her debut novella, Good for Goodness’ Sake, is a sweet holiday romance set in Nova Scotia.
